Ethylene gas is useful in fastening the ripening process of fruits. In bananas, it is naturally released through their stems. So, covering and separating the stems will decrease the rate of ripening. Therefore, if you wish that your bananas ripen at a slower pace, then you should separate them from each other. You may also wrap the stems of bananas with plastic wrap to have good results. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Leave an answerLeave an answerCancel reply Attachment Select file Browse Featured image Select file Browse Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
