It can be done and you can do it. It takes a hell of a lot of will power and you have to want to quit more than you want to smoke. It took me a while to feel that way. When I finally did, I quit. This is the only time I tried cold turkey and also the only time I actually quit for more than a few days. 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp james 1 Question 84 Answers 38 Best Answers 6 Points View Profile james 2020-10-27T22:13:33+00:00Added an answer on October 27, 2020 at 10:13 pm You’ll get a zillion answers and people saying what’s right or wrong. Here’s what I did. I’m 57 and smoked a pack and a half a day since I was 16. I had never tried to quit before. I have a upcoming surgery and DR said I had to quit for 30 days prior. I’ve been thinking of quitting for a few years now. I cut back from 30 cigarettes a day to 15 or so, then bought a zero nicotine vape. Cut back cigarettes to 10 and vaped a little in between, down to 5 and so on until I am just vaping occasionally during the day. Been completely nicotine free for 10 or 12 days. The whole process was a month or so. I also read Allen Carrs book downloaded from the files in this group. I don’t know how helpful it was for me but alot swear by it. Next 2 weeks I hope to stop vaping because even with zero nicotine juice your still inhaling a substance which isn’t good, better then smoking but not good. I ordered sugar free suckers..lol 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp james 1 Question 84 Answers 38 Best Answers 6 Points View Profile james 2020-10-27T22:12:49+00:00Added an answer on October 27, 2020 at 10:12 pm I’ve smoked for 45 years and tried a million times. It is the most difficult thing I have ever done. I currently am working on day 15 using the patch. Good luck!!!! 0 Reply Share Share Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp Leave an answerLeave an answerCancel reply Attachment Select file Browse Featured image Select file Browse Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
